End of January - beginning of light!
Last day of January. Finally! Apart from a few days of skiing, winter could easily blow over in a couple of weeks if you ask me. The darkness that comes from living relatively close to the arctic circle is pretty numbing and I find the chilling temperatures offensive, both to my skin and to my soul. But the good news is that the light is coming back, only by a few minutes each day, but it’s coming.
My new photo studio is almost done. It’s bigger and brighter and it really feels like my playground. One of my goals this year includes improving my photography skills, and for that to happen I need to be serious with my equipment, space and the time spent learning and practicing.
And the pottery. Wow! It still blows my mind that people actually wants to pay money for my ceramic pieces. It’s been two years since I started doing this, one year since I started my businesses (BadAss and Savannah Living), and I have to say it’s been completely and utterly awesome. An incredible amount of work, but so much fun. There really is no turning back. Now I just have to figure out how to find time to do all the things I want to do.
